Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

I was born in Detroit Harper Hospital and spent the first year of my life living on W. Jefferson. My parents met a German couple while in the hospital giving birth to me who would loan them the money for a down payment on a home in Annapolis Park. They were told it was the only new construction a "Colored" person could buy, probably anywhere in Michigan and beyond.

I have enjoyed pencil drawing as far back as my memory takes me. I took a few evening art classes and began a career working in human resources where the closest my job came to artistic expression was creating displays and slides for management and board meetings. Interestingly enough, this allowed me to be a frequent visitor and collaborator in the Graphic Arts department. Never able to shake the feeling that the Graphic Arts Department was where I belonged, I continued to develop, albeit slowly, my creativity and eventually participate in a few local art shows. One of them was sponsored by the National Technical Association and used the former location of the African American Museum in Detroit as a venue. I promised...
